Jim Gerner
Jim Gerner EA grew up working in his family’s natural foods store. He graduated from reviewing register receipts as a middle schooler to helping run a complicated Point of Sales software system during summers home from college.
In 2013 Jim started offering seasonal tax preparation out of his home, but this quickly expanded into a full-time business with an office downtown. Jim heads up Olympia Tax Service (Oly Tax LLC) and is both an Enrolled Agent, authorized to represent you before the IRS, and a Certified Tax Planner. Jim teaches the tax preparation course at a local community college and is on the board of directors at the Washington State Society of Enrolled Agents (WSSEA)
Kayleigh Jarrell
Kayleigh joined Olympia Tax Service at the end of 2020 and has been preparing taxes since 2014. Kayleigh grew up in South Florida and moved to Washington in 2009. Kayleigh has a great attention to detail and focuses primarily on personal tax returns.
When she’s not crunching the numbers, Kayleigh enjoys making memories with her children and family by exploring Washington’s State parks, camping, baking and gardening.
Stephanie Knaack
Stephanie joined Olympia Tax Service in December 2022 as a tax assistant. She grew up in Washington, earning her bachelor’s degree from Pacific Lutheran University in May 2022. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys reading, painting, and exploring Olympia.
